In Year 9, COVID had hit and I was in a rut.
Bad grades and poor behaviour. I wasn’t where I should have been.
Long story short, something had to change. And behold, something did.

Hey, my name is Dylan and I am the founder of Pathways to Progress. This blog is my way of giving back to the community.
I am a degree apprentice at a global law firm. Working a 9-5, balancing a university degree and also trying to have a social life can be quite tough.
By no means, have I figured it out. I am still a long way out.
But that’s the beauty of this new blog. As I (hopefully) figure things out, so will you.
I want to help you all achieve better success in achieving your goals. This is through tips and hacks from content that I consume.
As I learn, I will impart that knowledge to bring everyone onto this pathway as much as possible.
My story began as mentioned above. All changed when I made my first to-do list and started trying to achieve things in my day.
I wanted to meet objectives. This was a simple way of ensuring my day had a goal, some way in which I could progress.
This began my pathway that I am still continuing on right now. This path has had twists and turns. GCSE’s, A-Levels, performances and more have defined my life so far.
I have experimented with different philosophies, and found what works for me.
I’d say my philosophy aligns with Dr Ali Abdaal – Feel Good Productivity. The aim of productivity, ‘is to be intentional with your time’ and make it count while feeling good.
I don’t agree with the toxic view where we should shut ourselves away and endure lots of pain to become a new person.
That isn’t fun. It isn’t sustainable either.
So every week, I will send out a post highlighting what I’ve learnt and how this can impact your journey.
The first post will define pathway and progress to provide us some grounding for our journey. You may think this is simple. Trust me, there’s enough definitions which will confuse us more.
Then we can move onto implementing strategies.
Each week, come back to this page to find a new post on how you can increase your pathway to progress.
Have a great week!
Dylan 🙂
